Abstract

The ARPANET training video (undated) is a United States Army training video for a Node Site Coordinator working with the Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET), a precursor to today's internet. The University of Utah's Computer Science Department's Ivan Sutherland ran one of the original interface message processors (IMP) for the ARPANET project.

Vince Iturbe (1946-2017) served in the United States Army in Vietnam. In 1976, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, where he worked for the Utah Department of Workforce Services and volunteered for the Community Nursing Services' Journey Home hospice program. This collection contains color slides and scrapbook pages related to Iturbe's military service in Vietnam between 1969 and 1970.
