The Thomas A. Blakely papers (1937-1985) consist of research materials used in the writing of a paper entitled "The Swearing Elders" presented by Blakely at the Sunstone Symposium, August 1985. The "Swearing Elders" were a group of mostly LDS university faculty under the leadership of Sterling M.
