Abstract The John Elliott Welsh papers (circa 1910-2000) is composed of mining and geological materials collected by Welsh, a geologist who received his Ph.D. from the University of Utah in 1959. The collection is centered around mining and geology in Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho, and Wyoming and includes maps, reports, essays, articles, correspondence, charts, diagrams, and notes. Also included in the collection are some personal papers and class materials.
