Diary 1842-1900, first portion 1842 to 1847. Also M. R. McQuown's index to the volume. Diary notes from 1843-1844 then begins an autobiography which is a compilation of short sketches and journals commenced December 10, 1845. He describes the

Settlement of and problems in Missouri. Describes life in Nauvoo including the Danites and "Whittling Society." Discusses the death of Joseph Smith and circumstances in the church. Daily diary of mission to England in 1846. Mentions Mormon Battalion and the Mexican War as being God's retribution. 170 pp.
