Autobiographical sketch. Describes pioneer life in Corinne, Utah. Attended a Methodist school there. Mentions a black family named Able who were converts to the Mormon church. They supported themselves by putting on minstrel shows. Mrs. Shaw's mother Anna Furrer, was one of the first doctors in Utah. 6 pp.
