 File — Box: 1, Folder: 5

Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The G. Stanley McAllister papers (1920-2006) contain copies of typed and handwritten diaries, letters, and biographical information, most of which were written by McAllister during his mission to the Eastern United States for the LDS Church. Another part of the collection contains biographical material collected by Robert G. Vernon, a stepson to McAllister, and the written works by Vernon on G. Stanley McAllister. These works include a biography and "G. Stanley McAllister and Mormon Public Relations." The latter deals with McAllister's dealings with and the roles he played with the LDS Church's Mormon Tabernacle Choir and CBS Radio. The paper also recounts McAllister's role in the LDS Church's involvement in the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair.
