From the Collection: The EIMCO oral history project (1980-1983) was conducted by Gregory C. Thompson and others, in association with the American West Center, in an effort to collect oral histories of those associated with EIMCO. The history of EIMCO (Eastern Iron and Metal Co.) began as a pushcart scrap metal operation of Russian immigrant, Nathan Rosenblatt (b. 1866), in the late 1800s and grew into a "multi-faceted corporation which met the market demands of numerous manufacturing industries." The collection consists of oral history transcripts, an interview listing, interview sheets, and a history of EIMCO by Gregory C. Thompson and Allan D. Ainsworth.
