Scope and Contents

The Ernst F. Sturm papers (1901-1916) contain a journal and a personal letter. Both relate to the LDS splinter group "The Living Kingdom of God/Eastmanites," led by Samuel Eastman. The letter is addressed to Edward Janoschek. The journal is a compilation of notes from their meetings and of personal writings. The letter and journal were written by Ernst Frederick Sturm (1867-1941). An issue of a periodical entitled The New Era, which is an expose of Samuel Eastman and written by Janoschek, was transferred to the Western Americana Books Division of Special Collections.
