Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Edwin Brown Firmage papers (1780-2013) consist of speeches, essays, articles, book drafts, notes, correspondence, news letters, pamphlets, and reports, among other papers, surrounding Firmage's vast interests. Although much of the collection deals with international and constitutional law, Firmage also wrote and collected articles and essays on religion, the MX missile, women's rights, sexuality, war, race, and culture. The collection also includes family papers that extensively list his genealogy and relationship with a number of prominent members and leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) including his grandfather, Hugh B. Brown; LDS Church prophets Brigham Young; and Joseph Smith.
