  2. Business letter concerning John W. getting control of Brigham Young's shares of stock in a certain company not named.
  3. May 19, 1876 - Birmingham, Connecticut, to Salt Lake City; Young, John W., to George W. Thatcher
  4. Letter of introduction of Charles H. Bassett, who is going to Salt Lake to do cement work on his suggestion. Young is advancing him money to come West with the provision that he will take Thatcher in as a special partner. Thatcher will furnish him his first $1,000 worth of work after which profits will be divided equally between the two of them (Thatcher and Bassett). If Thatcher cannot accept this offer, he lists other parties who are to be given this opportunity.
