Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Gordon and Peg Allcott papers (1938, 1940s-1989, and 1996) focuses on the development of the Alta Ski Patrol since 1945. The documents consist of some of Gordon Allcott's personal notes, early text and reference books, his National Ski Patrol certificate, an Alta ski patrolman's parka designation, news clippings, a scrapbook of Alta promotional information from 1971-1972 ski season, a National Ski Patrol Emergency Care Workbook, and a Ski Patrol manual and avalanche rescue material from the 1987-1988 ski season. In addition, the collection holds Ski Patrol certificates and various registration cards regarding Peg Barnes Allcott's Ski Patrol activities. The collection also holds a brochure for the IVth Olympic Winter Games held in 1936 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, as well as general Ski Patrol-related items.
