Scope and Contents
Social and business correspondence not particularly personal in nature covering scattered years during this period. Also included in this file are two drafts of a letter, March 29 and April 4, 1974, to Wallace Stegner concerning Cannon's friendship with Bernard Devoto during World War I; Stegner replies May 9, 1974. A letter dated January 29, 1975 to William Marshall Jr., President AIA, containing good biographical material, and a letter from Mrs. Elizabeth Hess dated October 19, 1973 describing her enjoyment of her home (the Moyle house, 1918 Lakewood Dr.), designed by Cannon, are also included.
