In this letter, written less than two weeks before her death, Fawn Brodie discusses a blessing she received from her brother, Thomas B. McKay. She says that contrary to rumor, she had no intention of re-entering the L.D.S. Church and furthermore, "Any exaggeration about my request for a blessing meaning that I was asking to be taken back into the Church at that moment I strictly repudiate and would for all time."
