Basil Lambrides served Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Salt Lake City, 1911-1913, and later St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church in Washington, DC. At the time of his death in 1921 he was at the center of an internationally reported church-state controversy in Greece.
