The genre items contained in this box were separated into two sections. The first section includes 17 folders arranged by subject from computer lore to xerox lore; the second section, beginning with box 18, consists of folklore materials from nations and nationalities around the world and also includes items from various states in the United States. Folders are arranged alphabetically within the two sections and items are arranged chronologically within each folder. Folders 47-51 contain specific state folklore projects.
