 File — Box: 1, Folder: 1

Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Dame-McBride family papers (1825-1978) consist of short biographies of family members, family diaries, family and church correspondence, and additional papers of the Dame and McBride families. Included are heirloom letters, journals, autobiographical notes, certificates, news clippings and other documents. The diaries contain records of frontier and ocean crossings, early Mormon missionary experiences, and the spiritual testimony of these converts to the LDS Church. Insight into the thoughts of church leaders is revealed in letters from George A. Smith to William H. Dame. Most of the materials in this collection are photocopies.
