  1. "Bro. Charles R. McBride ... and his wife had decided to grant a request I made of them about six months ago. To have sealed to me their daughter May who died nearly ten years ago. I had a dream which led me to take this step. I told my dream to Pres. Lyman and he advised it."
  2. "We as a council of Twelve decided to summon Bro. [Joseph W.] Summerhays before us Wednesday next at 1 p.m. to show cause why he should not be excommunicated from the Church for marrying a plural wife and performing plural marriages since the declaration of Pres. Smith of 1904."
