Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad records contain correspondence related mainly to housing for railroad engineers, which includes rent bills and lease papers. The collection also contains investigative reports and ledgers of the railroad including accidents, injuries, cattle problems, and other events. Also included are General Insurance Schedules which ensured property from loss or damage by fire.
