Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Mormonism collection (1854, 1981-1985) consists of research papers, correspondence, transcripts,and clippings concerning various controversies in the LDS Church. Materials concern theological topics, particularly the Adam-God theory, historical questions, obedience to authority, and the treatment of scholars. Included are materials concerning the "Salamander Letters" and the response of the LDS Church to the controversy. The majority of the collection consists of photocopies. Also included in the collection is an editorial cartoon titled, "'Come Along My Dears' Eleven P.M. In a Mormon Household, Retiring for the Night."
