Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
This collection contains many different types of records, including meeting minutes, financial records, correspondence, membership records, publications, and other documents. Correspondence, minutes, officer reports, membership lists and other administrative documents are arranged chronologically by decade in boxes 1-5. Financial records, also arranged chronologically by decade, are in boxes 6-7. Membership records are found in boxes 8-9. The society publications and newsletters, News Bulletin and Mineral Scoop, are located in boxes 10-13. The MSU Scholarship Fund is documented in box 14 and field trip notices, including safety rules, are located in box 15. Three separate scrapbooks, containing mostly news clippings and photographs, are found in box 16. Records of mineralogical and gem shows are located in box 17. Files contains information on affiliate mineralogical societies in the Rocky Mountain region are located in boes 18 and 19, with box 19 emphasizing the Rocky Mountain Federation of Mineralogical Societies.
