The Hardy family continues life in Minneapolis. In addition to entries describing church activities and the lives of friends and family, Rosezella notes concerns for Wilford's health and comments on the first American in space and on the Cuban Missile Crisis. In 1961, Wilford retired and the couple began a life of travel by going to California. They took a world tour in 1962.
