From the Collection: The George S. and Algie E. Ballif papers (1904-1993) contain diaries, notebooks, correspondence, and memorabilia of George S. and Algie E. Ballif. George Ballif's diaries cover the period between 1914 and 1919 documenting his activities as an LDS missionary in England and as a member of the United States Army in World War I. Algie Ballif's diaries cover the period from 1914 to 1974. Their letters to each other were written between 1918 and 1922.

Access to original diaries and letters, located in boxes 5 through 10, are restricted except by permission of the Manuscripts Curator.

Twenty-four hours advance notice encouraged. Access to parts of this collection may be restricted under provisions of state or federal law.
