Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Pat Shea papers (1976-1994) contain correspondence, fax transmissions, articles, newsletters, pamphlets, brochures, notebooks, legislation materials, U.S. Senate materials, term reports, and news clippings related to the politics of Utah and the United States. Shea (b. 1949) was a lawyer mainly for media clients. He graduated from Harvard Law School and also served as counsel to the Foreign Relations Committee in the U.S. Senate. He later ran for governor of Utah in the Democratic party during 1992. Most of the collection predominately deals with his campaign for governor as well as material on Orrin G. Hatch, a Utah senator.
