Scope and Contents

This folder contains "A Brief History of the Demise of The New Messenger and Advocate" written by Merwin G. Fairbanks of Brigham Young University, given at an annual convention of the Associated Collegiate Press in Houston Texas, 1978. Also contained within this folder are papers on general information about the publication of The New Messenger and Advocate, such as membership and finacial reports. The papers also contain personal materials including journal entries, essays, poetry, a novel entitled Ziontales, and various drafts, publications and correspondences. Furthermore, the papers contain original art created by Dr. Barnhurst for the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP), and pamphlets for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, New York (GLAAD NY)
