Thatcher's suggestion to have Karl Maeser replace him as president of Brigham Young College in Logan, and conflicts with various Indian tribes and competition to other sects in their conversion to Christianity; and John Taylor's address to the Wyoming territorial legislature upon its visit to Utah during the church's fiftieth anniversary jubilee.
