Scope and Contents

Features Marie B. Nelson's composition Hodeeyaada. This three-movement tone poem is inspired by a Native American version of the creation myth (Hodeeyaada is Navajo for In the Beginning of Time) and dedicated to the memory of Maurice Abravanel.

Other composers represented on the disc are David Hawthorne, Bruce Polay, Greg Bullen, and Edward Paul Mascari. Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Robert Stankovsky. Manhattan Chamber Sinfonia, conducted by Glen Cortese.
