Scope and Contents
Various Melville family outings 1940-1941: Brighton on the 4th of July 1940. Here Marvin rode horseback for the first time.The next outing is an autumn scenic loop via Payson canyon and Nephi Canyon. The Melville family drives this loop with the Aposhian family in September of 1940.The next outing is a trip to Kanosh to hunt deer. After the Melville men finish hunting, they go to Aunt Ella Staples house for lunch with the rest of the family.The next outing is a trip to Mesa Verde. Alton points out on a map the rout that they will take to Mesa Verde then there are various shots of the five-car caravan that they travel in. On the way to Mesa Verde, they stop at Arches National Monument.
