The David E. Miller photograph collection contains 11 boxes of black-and-white prints and negatives and color slides dating from the 1950s to about 1975. The collection contains images taken and collected by Miller in conjunction with his research into various topics of Western history, including: Western trails and migration; Western military forts; archaeological sites; Hole-in-the-Rock expedition; national parks; natural and hot springs; World War II; the Pony Express; the Oregon Trail; and historic sites in the United States and the American West.
