Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Wesley Pratt Larsen photograph collection consists of 3 boxes of images related to Larsen's research into Utah and Native American history and career as a biologist and educator. The collection contains black-and-white photographs and negatives of buildings and places in Utah, particularly Summit, Beaver, and Toquerville; color photographs related to the structures and culture of the Ancestral Puebloans, or Anasazi, particularly petroglyphs and pictographs; and color slides of unidentified people and related to Larsen's work as a biologist. Many of the photographs were taken by Larsen and include typewritten descriptions written by him. Some of the images are copy prints of originals held by the Utah State Historical Society. The collection spans 1960 to 20000, with most of the photographs and negatives dating from the 19990s.
