Scope and Contents

This scrapbook contains photographs, correspondence, journals, news articles, blessings, postcards, programs, and certificates. It is the story of Abraham's childhood, his missionary life, his college life, and his first job. It ends just before his marriage to Lucille Jensen on November 19, 1913. This scrapbook was compiled by Judy Wood, his granddaughter.

Biographical / Historical

Abraham "Abe" Coon Cooley was born June 16, 1884 in Brighton, Utah. He was the eighth child of Andrew Wood Cooley and Rachel Coon Cooley. He served a mission in Germany for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1905-1908. Abe graduated from Utah Agricultural College (now Utah State University) in 1911.
