Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The James R. Holbrook papers (1966-2019) consist primarily of clippings, correspondence, greeting cards, and writings. The military records, printed materials, transcripts, and writings relate to the Vietnam War and Holbrook's combat experience during the war in 1969. The 1995-1998 correspondence concerns his application for nomination for United States Attorney General for the District of Utah. The general letters and e-mails are from students, academic institutions, and colleagues. Subjects include the Vietnam War, career at the University of Utah, and acknowledgements. Included is a letter from former Governor of Nebraska and Senator Bob Kerrey. The greeting cards are primarily from Holbrook's students and span from 2001-2019.
