Scope and Contents

From the Series: Series 3, consisting of boxes 60-105, contains the records of the Kearns-Tribune Corporation. The Kearns-Tribune jointly owns the Newspaper Agency Corporation, which is responsible for the circulation, advertising and printing of the Salt Lake Tribune and the Deseret News. The Kearns-Tribune Corp. also owns several buildings in downtown Salt Lake, and publishes other newspapers such as the Moscow-Pullman Daily News, which serves the Moscow, ID-Pullman, WA, area, and the Colfax, WA, Whitman County Gazette. In 2000, Kearns-Tribune became a subsidiary of MediaNews Group based in Colorado. The series is divided into three categories: Board of the Director's meeting minutes, financial records and general business records. Where possible, the original filing organization and titles, from the donor, were maintained within the series.
