File — Box: 117, Folder: 2
Identifier: 4
Scope and Contents
From the Series:
Series 4, consisting of boxes 106-120, contain the records of the Newspaper Agency Corporation. NAC was founded in 1952 in response to the financial troubles experienced by both the Salt Lake Tribune and the Deseret News. NAC began providing circulation, advertising and production services to both papers. In the 1960s NAC was subject to an anti-trust investigation, but in 1970 President Richard Nixon signed the Newspaper Preservation Act, thus protecting NAC. Where possible, original folder titles were maintained.
