From the Collection:
The Leo Leonard photograph collection follows his life as a civilian band member in the 1930s to joining the army band and consequently being assigned as a military policeman in Germany and Europe around the time of World War II and immediately following. The main bulk of photographs are postcards and tourist images purchased by Leonard depicting towns and cities throughout Europe. The collection also contains personal photographs of Leonard and his wife Elizabeth/family in Europe as well as formal portraits. Also included is an album owned by Elizabeth before World War II showing friends and acquaintances in Germany.
Addendum in December 1999 including individual photographs of Elizabeth Leonard (Leo Leonard's wife) which came from identification papers. As well as a portrait of Leo and Elizabeth.

Twenty-four hour advanced notice encouraged. Materials must be used on-site. Access to parts of this Collection may be restricted under provisions of state or federal law.
