Scope and Contents
- 1-6: In 1962 Alvin, along with his brother-in-law, Jack Lucas, constructed what would be the first day lodge at the fisrt ski left that Alvin would build. The lift and lodge were at the bottom of Wolf Creek Canyon. There is now a subdivision at this site. Alvin's home is about one half block North of the site.
- 7: Day pass from the first ski lift Alvin owned and operated, Wolf Creek ski lift.
- 8-9: Construction of top terminal site of the Timberline Lift, 1971. Employees of the resort installed the Sundown, Timberline, and Hidden Lake lifts. Thiokol Chemical Corporation, out of Logan, Utah, manufactured Sundown and Timberline lifts. Timberline was the first triple chair lift installed in Utah. Alvin had operations experience and often worked the cranes and dozers during installation.
- 10-12: Construction and delivery of the Sundown Lift, 1971
- 13-14: Sundown Lift, first day of operation. February 19, 1972. Sprite Snowcat in the picture is the snowcat that was used for the Snowcat run layouts and tours before the area opened.

- 23: Alvin at the sheep camp at age 2 or 3. Camp was set up at the bottom of Wolf Creek Canyon. Also in the picture is his sister and two of the herders.
- 24: Alvin, in his early 20s, out on the summer range just off what is now Drifter Run at Powder Mountain. Alvin is leaning against a drift fence, which was designed to separate cattle from sheep (the sheep can get under it, but the cattle cannot).
