Macfarlane Family, 1920-1950

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 1

Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The L. Wayland Macfarlane photograph collection consists of 2 boxes. Box 1 contains 98 black-and-white prints. Box 2 is oversized and contains 3 black-and-white prints. Most of the photographs were collected by Macfarlane for inclusion in Dr. Mac: The Man, His Land, and His People and have accompanying handwritten captions, most written on yellow adhesive note paper, from the author, many of which identify and date the photographs. The photographs are a mixture of prints and copy prints with originals held by other institutions, primarily the Utah Historical Society and Southern Utah University Library and Special Collections; some of the copy prints are copies of material held in other collections by the J. Willard Marriott Special Collections and Archives.
