From the Series: The 473 photographs included illustrate pictographs and petrog1yphs of the Hopi Clan Symbols at Willow Springs. These proof prints, taken between 1965 and 1978, are accompanied by negatives and are arranged consecutively by the eight dates on which they were taken. They are identified by three characters, the first (HCS) indicating Hopi Clan Symbois, the second (1-8) indicating one of the eight dates, with the third being the number of photograph taken on that date.
