Interview of Tom Nelson, conducted by Ann Engar. He talks about his family's home and farm, a history of the Cottonwood area, the process of harvesting and moving the marble for the temple, ditches for moving water to the valley, Tom's family history with the area, the first school in Cottonwood, playing marbles, Oakwood School, his grandmother, his father Irvin T. Nelson's participation in the LDS Church and his landscaping, his mother, Grandpa Jensen, the Stevenson family, the Bagley Meat and Grocery Store, the lakes in Cottonwood, his siblings, his children, grand children, and great grandchildren, growing up on the farm, going to school, enrolling in the air force ROTC, teaching at the University of Utah, meeting and marrying his wife, the economy in Cottonwood during the depression, Cottonwood during WWII, stories about his children, travelling in Europe, and getting Cottonwood and Holladay established as a city.
