Correspondence and news clippings

 File — Box: 1

Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Aubrey family papers (1884-1904) contain correspondence and newspaper clippings. Some of the letters are written by Frank D. Aubrey, but the majority of the correspondence is to and from members of the Aubrey Family, from Fayette, Sanpete County, Utah. Among the newspaper clippings, is an official statement made in 1904 by Joseph F. Smith, who was the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). This statement reaffirms the position of the LDS Church against plural marriages.
