Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Episcopal Diocese of Utah records (1867-1988) contain correspondence, speeches, articles, journals of convocation, journal excerpts, ledgers, financial materials, pamphlets, booklets, programs, meeting minutes, agendas, and news clippings. The Episcopal Diocese of Utah, organized in 1866, comprises most of the state of Utah, with the exception of the Southeast corner. The diocese has twenty-one churches and fifty clergies. Most of the collection deals with the various bishops that served the diocese, and the materials that they used and kept while ministering. Also included in the collection are materials on the construction and development of St. Mark's Hospital, which is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
