Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Sarah Studevant Leavitt history [typescript] deals mostly with the migration of her family from Canada, beginning in 1835, to Nauvoo, Illinois, and then to Salt Lake City, Utah. Of interest are her accounts of seeing Egyptian mummies and the Book of Abraham while in Kirtland, Ohio; as well as seeing the martyred bodies of Joseph and Hyrum Smith.
