Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Crones Counsel, Inc. records (1989-2021) documents the history of this organization which provided opportunities for women to join together in a variety of settings and activities in order to promote and affirm a sense of power, purpose, and productivity for themselves in the last third of their lives.

This first series contains materials created and gathered by the board of directors of the organization. Included are the articles of incorporation, bylaws, annual reports (2018-2021), planning and operation policies, history of the organization, and grant material.

The second series contains materials regarding the planning, marketing and execution of the organization's national gatherings. These meetings were held annually and held at various locations. The gatherings provided an environment for women to network, share experiences, and attend workshops. Materials in this series can vary but usually include email correspondence, event schedules, registration information, programs, and a few photographs.

The third series contains publications created by the organization. Included are the newsletters Crone Chronicles (1989-2001) and Crone Times (2002-2017) along with calendars created by the organization.

Twenty-four hour advanced notice encouraged. Materials must be used on-site. Access to parts of this collection may be restricted under provisions of state or federal law.
