The Zachariah Thomas Derrick papers (1851, 1919) consist of a diary and newspaper clipping. Zachariah Thomas Derrick (1840-1926), along with his parents and siblings, left London, England, on 4 January 1851 and journeyed to Salt Lake City, Utah. The diary recounts Derrick's experiences with his family and others they traveled with. The original diary, as well as a typescript and color photocopy, are available. The newspaper clipping contains a short biography and picture of Derrick's father, Zachariah Wise Derrick (1814-1898).
