Scope and Contents
The Clark L. Wilson papers (1894-1996) contain correspondence, reports, brochures, maps, drawings, business materials, personal materials, and news clippings pertaining to the mining industry in Utah. Addenda to the collection contains additional articles, reports, publications, maps, and information regarding Wilson's appointment to serve as a member of the Utah Air Conservation Committee where he represented the mining industry.

Biographical Sketch
Wilson (1914-1997) entered the mining industry in 1940 as a geologist and a engineer for New Park Mining Company in Wasatch County, Utah. In 1960, he became the vice president of mining operations for the New Park Mining Company. He held positions in many affiliated companies within the Park City, Tintic, and Bingham Mining Districts in Utah. Wilson also served as president for the United Park City Mines Company (UPCM) during the 1960s and 1970s.

The Clark L. Wilson papers (1894-1996) contain correspondence, reports, brochures, maps, drawings, business materials, personal materials, and news clippings pertaining to the mining industry in Utah. Included is information regarding Wilson's appointment to serve as a member of the Utah Air Conservation Committee where he represented the mining industry.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Boxes 1-8 were donated in 1987 and 1990 (4 linear feet). Boxes 9-21 were donated in June 2000 (5.25 linear feet). Boxes/tubes 22-42 were donated in August 2000 (17.25 linear feet).
Separated Materials
Photographs were transferred to the Multimedia Division of Special Collections (P0846).
