Organizational History

During the 1980s, thousands of Utahns had entrusted their savings to the local thrift and loan businesses and promised their money was ensured by the state. Instead, it was merely regulated by the state, and when the institutions failed, most of the depositors lost their money. D.O.I.T. was formed to help depositors regain their lost savings.
