Biographical Note
Judge Bruce S. Jenkins was a native to Salt Lake City, Utah and received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Utah. Jenkins continued to receive his Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah Collegeof Law in 1952. Jenkins served as a clerk for a member of Utah's Supreme Court, an Assistant State Attorney General, a Deputy Prosecutor for Salt Lake County, and was engaged in private practice from 1952-1965.
In in 1958, Judge Jenkins was appointed to the Utah Senate and continued to be re-elected twice. He was the Minority Leader for the Utah State Senate then became the President of the Utah State Senate. In 1965, Jenkins was then appointed Bankruptcy Judge to the United States District Court, District of Utah. Judge Jenkins continued to be nominated as United States District Judge by President Jimmy Carter and then confirmed by the Unites States Senate (1978). Judge Jenkins also held the position of Chief Judge from 1984-1993. As of, 2015, Jenkins holds the title of Senior Judge of the United States District Courts, District of Utah.

The final documents in the collection are speeches given at organizational events and at various symposiums, meetings, and seminars.
