Abstract

The Chauncey L. Thornburg papers (1919-1970) concentrate on the work of Thornburg (1899-1986) as a mining geologist in Mexico. He received both a bachelor's and master's degree in geological engineering from the University of Utah. The collection includes correspondence, reports, essays, articles, maps, charts, and photographs, most of which were assembled into bound volumes by Thornburg.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Gift of Anna Lee Dumayne in 2001. Boxes 9-10 were found and added in April 2002. They are part of the original donation.
