Scope and Contents
The R. Wayne Pace papers (1884-2010) consist mainly of his extended family genealogical research, and also contain the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) papers from his years at BYU.
The 2009 Addendum (boxes 27-42) contains files chronicling Dr. Pace's personal and professional life, including correspondence, photographs, clippings, and legal documents. Following these are files containing Dr. Pace's Unpublished Papers, which includes manuscripts and drafts of his papers, many of which would later be published. Draft-quality photocopies of the original photographs have been included for context; the original photographs can be retrieved from the Multimedia Division on request.
The 2013 Addendum (boxes 43-46) contains additional files from the office of R. Wayne Pace, arranged chronologically.
The researcher should note that this collection does NOT contain significant material related to Dr. Pace's time in office with the ICA or AHRD; said material remains with the records kept by those associations.
The 2016 Addendum (boxes 47-57) contains professional and personal correspondence to and from Dr. Pace between 1973 and 1988. Dr. Pace's academic papers written during this time period are sorted in chronological order within the correspondence.

Biographical Note
R. Wayne Pace (b. 1931) is the Professor Emeritus of Organizational Leadership in the Marriott School of Management, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, and adjunct scholar in the Workplace Research, Learning, and Development (WoRLD) Institute of the School of Social and Workplace Development, Southern Cross University, Lismore, NSW, Australia. Dr. Pace holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University, an M.S. from Brigham Young University, and a B.S. from the University of Utah. In addition to a long list of teaching and research positions, Pace served as the President of the International Communication Association for 1971, and was elected Founding President of the Academy of Human Resource Development in 1993.

Abstract
The R. Wayne Pace papers (1884-2010) contain extentensive Pace family genealogical research. The collection also contains biograhical, personal, and professional materials from Dr. Pace's life, as well as a collection of his unpublished essays, papers, and drafts.
