This records consists of newspaper clippings about other Nihon Matsuri around the United States, Japanese-American Culture in Salt Lake City, and the first Nihon Matsuri in Salt Lake City. It also contains photocopies of old Japan Town in Salt Lake City. As well as planning materials, and other forms and fliers used leading up to the first annual Nihon Matsuri in Salt Lake City.

Historical Note
The Nihon Matsuri Japan Festival, is an annual festival held at 100 South between 200 West and 300 West (Japantown Street) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The first Nihon Matsuri was held on April 30, 2005.
