Biological Note
So We Can Have Water was written by seventh grade students if the Sumner School of Salt Lake City. Two seventh grade classes worked on this project. All the class members took part in gathering information, reading and interviewing, and making reports. Field trips were made to local distribution and storage reservoirs, chlorination houses, streams, and dams. All of the seventh graders worked on the drawings, making the linoleum blocks, and printing the illustrations.
There was so much material written by the classes and in so many different styles that it was decided that a committee would write the final edition of the book. The committee that did most of the writing was composed of the following group: Joyce Bates, Charlotte Peysar, Faye Duncan, Marlene Taylor, Marjorie Miner, and Sally Ann Hudson.
